Nouns (නාම පද) මිනිසුන්, ස්ථාන, දේවල් සහ අදහස් ආදිය හැදින්වීමට ගන්නා පද නාම පද වේ.

Compound nouns

සංයුක්ත නාම පදයක් යනු වචන දෙකක් හෝ වැඩි ගණනකින් සාදන ලද නාම පදයකි. බොහෝ සංයුක්ත නාම පද (noun + noun) [නාම පද + නාම පද] හෝ (adjective + noun)[නාමවිශේෂණ + නාම පද] වේ. ඊට අමතරව  [preposition + verb], [noun + verb]  ආදී විවිධ ආකාර වලින් සෑදිය හැකිය. සෑම සංයුක්ත නාම පදයක්ම තනි ඒකකයක් ලෙස ක්‍රියා කරයි.
මේවා කීප ආකාරයක් දැකිය හැක.
වචන අතර space(හිඩැසක්), hypen(කෙටි ඉරක්)  හෝ  එකම වචනයක් ලෙස තිබිය හැකිය.
